Kendall golfer is 14th at states
Kendall High senior Evan Gaesser finished 14th today at the state Public High School Golf Championship held at Cornell University.
Gaesser shot a 78 in the opening round on Sunday and a 75 today to finish with a 153 total, which was second best among Section V golfers in the tourney.

Powell claims long jump
Albion High junior Chanyce Powell scored her second Section VI Division 2 (small schools) track championship victory over the weekend by winning the long jump on Saturday.
Powell, who won the triple jump on the first day of competition, added the long jump title with a leap of 17-0.
Albion’s Nate Trembley also placed second in the shot-put.
