No. 7 Kendall pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to nip visiting No. 10 Dundee this afternoon in the opening round of the Section V Class D1 softball playoffs.

A single by Adrianna Passarell drove in the game winner for the Lady Eagles as a double by Emily Mattle and a single by Rebecca Banker set up the threat.

Kendall had tied the contest at 6-6 with a run in the sixth inning on an RBI single by winning pitcher Chelsea Wright.

Earlier, the Lady Eagles took a 5-2 lead by scoring 3 times in the fourth frame on an RBI single by Lizzie Rath and a two-run error.

Wright and Banker both finished with 3 hits.

Kendall next faces No. 2 Alfred-Almond on Tuesday.
