Kendall girls top B-B in low scoring contest
With the low scoring matching the frigid temperatures outside, Kendall downed visiting Byron-Bergen 24-18 in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game his evening.
Julie Coble put Kendall on top to stay at 17-14 when she hit a three to close the third period.
Aleza Bown then opened the final period with a pair of baskets to extend the Lady Eagles lead to 21-14 and the visiting Bees could get no closer than four after that.
Brown finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists for the Lady Eagles as Libby Snyder had 9 points, 16 rebounds and 6 blocks.
The contest was tied 10-10 at the half.
Kendall improves to 8-1 and Byron-Bergen slips to 6-3.
Wilson 58, Akron 27
Defending champion Wilson downed visiting Akron 58-27 to improve to 3-0 in Niagara-Orleans League action.
Bella Lemke scored 21 and Peyton McInnis 16 to lead the way for Wilson.
