Taking charge with a burst of three unanswered second half goals, No. 4 seed Kendall posted a 4-1 victory over visiting No. 5 Alfred-Almond this evening in the quarterfinal round of the Section V Class D1 girls soccer playoffs.

Breaking away from a 1-1 deadlock, Kendall moved on top to stay when Lizzy Woodams scored on a rebound shot just 7:34 into the second half.

The Lady Eagles then opened up a little breathing room when Hailee Mitchell scored on a penalty kick with 15:12 remaining.

Kendall finally put a lock on the win when Grace Robinson scored off a turnover with just 8:36 to go.

Alfred-Almond did jump out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Maeve Looney 17 minutes into the first half.

However, Kendall answered right back when Grace Levett scored off an assist from Madison Jacob just seven minutes later at 18:30 to knot the contest at 1-1.

The Lady Eagles then kept the momentum by outscoring Alfred-Almond 3-0 in the second half to pull away to the victory.

Katherine Pearson made 3 saves in goal for the Lady Eagles.

Improving to 12-5, Kendall next faces the winner of the No. 9 Arkport-Canaseraga vs. No. 1 Honeoye game in the D1 semifinals on Wednesday.
