Kendall girls surge past Notre Dame

Breaking away from a 2-2 deadlock, Kendall erupted for four straight unanswered goals in the second half to defeat host Notre Dame 6-2 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game.

Hailee Mitchell scored 2 goals during that decisive stretch for Kendall as Grace Robinson and Lizzy Woodams both had 1.

Nore Dame had grabbed a 1-0 lead at the outset on a goal by Ava Reinhart.

Kendall though answered with goals by Alezya Brown and Mitchell to take a 2-1 lead at the half.

Notre Dame did pull back into a 2-2 tie early in the second half on a goal by Callie McCulley but Kendall countered with four straight tallies to claim the win and improve to 1-1 in G-R competition.

In another G-R contest, host Byron-Bergen rallied for a pair of second half goals by Kelsey Fuller to nip Lyndonville/Medina 2-1.

Lyndonville/Medina took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Anna Lewis.
