Kendall girls shutout Alexander

Maintaining sole possession of first place at 4-0, Kendall blanked visiting Alexander 2-0 this evening in a Genesee Region League Division 1 girls soccer game.

Coralee Freitag scored what proved to be the game winner eight minutes into the first half off an assist from Maya Rutland.

Taylor Rutland later added an insurance goal for the Lady Eagles in the second half.

Jenna Jacob earned the shutout in goal for Kendall which next hosts Lyndonville at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The loss drops Alexander to 2-3.

Notre Dame 2, Lyndonville 1
A goal on a direct kick with just two minutes remaining earned Notre Dame a narrow 2-1 win over Lyndonville In G-R Division 2 action.

Gabby Dusett scored Lyndonville’s goal, off an assist from Kaity Albone, which knotted the contest at 1-1.

Notre Dame is now 2-1 and Lyndonville 2-2 in G-R action.

Holley 2, Pembroke 2
Maddy Papaj and Anne Jewell each scored a goal for Holley in the Lady Hawks 2-2 overtime tie at Pembroke in a G-R Division 1 contest.
