Kendall girls score key G-R Division 1 victory over Byron-Bergen

A lone early goal proved to be just enough as Kendall nipped visiting Byron-Bergen 1-0 this evening to take over sole possession of first place in Division 1 of the Genesee Region girls soccer league.

Maya Rutland scored the game’s lone goal for Kendall just nine minutes into the first half.

Jenna Jacob made nine saves in goal for the Lady Eagles.

Kendall improves to 3-0 while Byron-Bergen slips to 2-1.

Pulling away in the second half, Attica bested Holley 6-1 in a G-R Division 1 contest.

Holley jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Samantha Barniak.

However, Attica answered back with a pair of goals before the half to move on top to stay as the go ahead tally came on a penalty kick.

Attica then put a lock on the win by scoring four unanswered second half goals.

Attica is now 3-1 and Holley 0-3.

Wheatland-Chili 5, Lyndonville 0
Building up a 2-0 lead at the half, Wheatland-Chili went on to defeat host Lyndonville 5-0 in a G-R Division 2 contest.

W-C improves to 2-0 while Lyndonville slips to 2-1.
