Kendall girls score Class C track wins

Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Taylor ReQua had a hand in a pair of wins for the Kendall girls track team Saturday at the Class C track championships.

The Kendall girls scored a pair of wins at the Section V Class C track championships held Saturday at Lyons.

Kendall’s 400 relay quartet of Maya Rutland, Taylor Rutland, Taylor ReQua and Lyndsay Wright took first place honors in a time of :50.33.

ReQua also scored a victory in the 200 in a time of :27.24 and placed second in the 100.

The Lady Eagles also had Sara Pieneszak place 3rd in the steeplechase, Alexis Payton 3rd in the pentathlon, Taylor Rutland 3rd in the shot-put, Jenna Jacob 4th in the 100 hurdles, Hannah Ulmen 5th in the pole vault, Kristy Mundaniohl 7th in the pole vault and Wright 7th in the 400 hurdles.

In the Class CC championships, also held at Lyons, Holley had Flint DiLella place 4th in the pole vault, Matt DiSimone 5th in the 400, Antonio Puente 5th in the 110 hurdles, Jason Kimmel 5th in the pentathlon and Angie Weaver 5th in the shot-put.
