Kendall girls romp in soccer sectional semi
No. 4 seed Kendall rolled to a 6-0 victory over No. 9 Arkport/Canaseraga in the semifinal round of the Section V Class D1 girls soccer playoffs this evening at Warsaw.
Kendall jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half on goals by Brianna Wakefield and Hailee Mitchell.
The Lady Eagles then broke the contest wide open in the second half on two goals by Mitchell and one each by Wakefield and Grace Levett.
Improving to 13-5, Kendall will next face No. 2 Fillmore in the Class D1 title game on Saturday at a site and time to be determined. Fillmore, which is now 17-1, romped to a 7-0 win over No. 3 Avoca/Bradford in the other semi.
Arkport/Canaseraga advanced to the semis after upsetting top seeded Honeoye 3-0 in the quarterfinals.
