Kendall girls post win over Lyndonville

Leading from wire-to-wire, Kendall downed host Lyndonville 45-40 in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game this evening.

Addison Kludt scored 12 and Alea Barrett 11 to lead Kendall as Danielle Offhaus added 8, Brooke Rodas and Lia Larson 6 and Ava LaMay 2.

Addie Dillenbeck took game high honors for Lyndonville with 16 as Bella Groves added 9, Ashlee Stephens 6, Alexa Robinson and Hannah Fox 3, Jacelyn Mack 2 and Kayli Miller 1.

Kendall grabbed a 13-10 lead at the end of the first quarter as Kludt, Barrett and Rodas each hit a three in the early going. Groves made two threes and Fox one to keep Lyndonville close.

The Lady Tigers closed to within two, 27-25, at the half as Dillenbeck scored 6, Stephens 4 and Groves hit a three in the second period. Kludt scored 7 for the Lady Eagles during that stretch.

Kendall moved out to an 8 point, 41-33, advantage after outscoring Lyndonville 14-8 in the third period. Barrett had two threes and Offhaus a pair of baskets during that stretch. Dillenbeck netted all 8 of Lyndonville’s points in the period.

Lyndonville closed back to within three, 43-40, in the final period after a three by Robinson and a two by Stephens but could get no closer.

Offhaus had all four of Kendall’s points in the period.

Kendall is now 3-2 in the league and 7-2 overall while Lyndonville is 1-4, 4-4.
