Kendall girls post shutout; Albion wins in OT

Kendall blanked visiting Pembroke 6-0 this evening to improve to 3-1 in Genesee Region League girls soccer action.

Hailee Mitchell scored 3 goals, Brianna Wakefield 2 and Alezya Brown 1 to lead the Kendall attack while Katherine Pearson made 2 saves to earn the shutout.

In other G-R action, Wheatland-Chili jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half and went on to defeat host Lyndonville/Medina 4-0.

Albion 3, Newfane 2 OT
Albion stayed undefeated at 4-0 in Niagara-Orleans League competition with a narrow 3-2 double overtime win at Newfane which slips to 2-2.

Lexi Wolck scored the game winner for Albion in the first 10 minute overtime period.

The Purple Eagles also got second half goals by Brylie Hapeman, off an assist from Mariah Plain, and by Abby Scanlan, off an assist from Hapeman, to rebound from a 1-0 half-time deficit.

In the other N-O game, Wilson (2-1) nipped Roy-Hart (1-3) 1-0 on a first half goal by Leia Cloy off an assist from Lilly O’Lay.
