Kendall girls nip Lyndonville in D1 sectionals

A late goal earned No. 5 seed Kendall a narrow 1-0 victory over Genesee Region League foe No. 12 Lyndonville this evening in the opening round of the Section V Class D1 girls soccer playoffs at Kendall.
Hailee Mitchell made just her second goal of the season a huge one as she tallied with only 10 minutes remaining in the second half off an assist from Taylor ReQua on a direct kick to earn the Lady Eagles the slender win.
Hannah Ulmen earned the shutout in goal making 5 saves.
Lyndonville goalie Kenzie Muck came up with several big saves for the Lady Tigers.
Kendall will next face the winner of the No. 4 Northstar vs. No. 13 Jasper-Troupsburg game in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Kendall improves to 12-5 while Lyndonville finishes the season at 6-11.
