No. 2 seed Kendall will take on No. 6 Warsaw in the Section V Class CC semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Caledonia-Mumford High School.

Kendall, which brings a 15-1-1 record into the semis, needed a big second half scoring explosion to blank Campbell-Savonia 6-0 in the quarterfinals, a contest that was deadlocked 0-0 at the half.

“We definitely have to come out and play like we did in the second half against Campbell-Savona and not like we did in the first half,” said Kendall Coach Pam Beres. “It definitely will be a tough matchup so we can’t afford another first half like that. If we can come out and play hard and connect offensively in the first half that will give us a little momentum.”

Kendall is led offensively by junior Maya Rutland who has 26 goals and 5 assists. The Lady Eagles also have freshman Taylor ReQua with 11 goals and 14 assists, junior Taylor Rutland 4 goals and 7 assists and sophomore Elizabeth Rath 3 goals and 3 assists.

Warsaw, which is at 9-8-1, advanced by upending No. 3 South Seneca 1-0 in the quarterfinals.

Tuesday’s other semifinal will have No. 4 Geneseo vs. No. 1 Cal-Mum which nipped Kendall 1-0 in the championship game last year.
