Kendall girls downs Pembroke
Building up a 4-0 half-time advantage, Kendall went on to defeat host Pembroke 7-1 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game.
Hailee Mitchell, Brianna Wakefield, Alezya Brown and Lizzy Woodams took turns scoring goals in the first half. Wakefield and Mitchell also each had an assist during that stretch.
Wakefield, Mitchell and Brown then each netted their second goal of the contest in the second half to round out the Lady Eagles scoring. Brown and Mitchell each had an assist during that scoring burst.
Improving to 3-0 in the league and 5-0 overall, Kendall next hosts Attica at 6:30 p.m. Friday in another G-R game.
In one other G-R game, Wheatland-Chili blanked visiting Lyndonville/Medina 9-0. W-C jumped out to a 5-0 first half lead.

Roy-Hart defeated Buffalo Seminary 9-0 in a non league field hockey game as Lexie Diel scored 3 goals and Cheyenne Stilwell 2.
Volleyball

Kendall dropped a four set decision to Alexander this evening in a G-R volleyball match.
For Kendall, Autumn Woodward had 14 digs, 6 kills and 3 aces; Brittney Marks 10 digs, 6 assists and 5 kills, and Madison Shonitsky 11 digs, 4 assists, and 3 kills.
Byron-Bergen 25-25-25, Pembroke 14-21-18
Lexi Vurraro had 26 assists, Madison Farnsworth 13 kills and Hannah Catlaino and Hannah VanSkiver 5 kills each for Byron-Bergen in the straight set G-R win over Pembroke.
