Kendall girls down rival Holley

Jumping out to a 23-11 half-time advantage, Kendall went on to defeat visiting rival Holley 39-21 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game.

Shelby Reis and Tania Arellano both scored 9 for Kendall as Jaimie Smith added 7 and Toni ReQua 6.

Smith also grabbed off 10 rebounds, Arellano 7 and Reis 6 as Nicole Browe chipped in with 5 steals and 5 assists.

Nicole Blackburn had 10 points and 5 rebounds and Jade Underwood 10 rebounds and 4 points for Holley.

Notre Dame 64, Lyndonville 29
Leading by a narrow 13-10 margin, Notre Dame used a big 19-5 second quarter scoring surge to key a 64-29 victory over Lyndonville.

Morgan Hungerford scored 16 points for Lyndonville which trailed 32-15 at the half and 49-21 at the three-quarter mark.

Boys Basketball

Alexander 54, Holley 34
Leading by a narrow 26-20 margin at the half, Alexander used a 16-6 third period scoring surge to key a 54-34 victory over host Holley in a G-R contest.

Joey DeFelice and Josh Porter both scored 8 points, Corey Winter 7 and John Bower 6 for Holley. Winter also had 10 rebounds and 5 steals.

Oakfield-Alabama 86, Lyndonville 55
The third period also proved decisive in Oakfield-Alabama’s 86-55 G-R win over visiting Lyndonville.

Leading by a slender 29-25 score, Oakfield-Alabama outpointed Lyndonville 33-10 in the decisive third period to race away to a commanding 62-35 advantage at the three-quarter mark.

Pat Hinkson had 10 points for Lyndonville as Justin Edwards, Ty Hrovat and Nick Hinkson each added 8 and AJ Buckland 7.
