Kendall girls bow at Oakfield
Building up a 29-11 halftime advantage Oakfield-Alabama went on to defeat visiting Kendall 52-29 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game.
Taylor ReQua had 17 points to lead Kendall as Tania Arellano and Taylor Kingsbury both added 6. Arellano also had 10 rebounds and ReQua 5 steals.
Now at 6-10 overall, Kendall next visits Byron-Bergen at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Wilson 45, Akron 40
Maintaining a one game lead, Wilson defeated host Akron 45-40 in a Niagara-Orleans League contest.
Rachel Senek scored 15 and Kayla Neumann 12 for Wilson as Mercedees Rees and Megan DiLaura 6 each.
Wilson, which led 21-13 at the half, improves to 10-0 and stays one game ahead of rival Newfane (9-1) in the N-O title chase.
The loss drops Akron to 3-6.
Wilson next hosts Medina at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
