Kendall downs rival Holley

Lyndonville bests Alexander

Kendall held off a second half challenge by rival Holley as the Eagles trimmed the host Hawks 51-43 this evening in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game.

Jacob Ramsdell scored a game high 23 points to lead the way for Kendall as Collin Lewis added 11, Nathan Warters 7 and John Rath 6. Ramsdell also grabbed off 19 rebounds and Rath had 3 steals.

Dylan Hillabush scored 17 and Nick Passarell 11 to lead Holley. Hillabush also pulled down 8 rebounds and Chris Balys had 9 rebounds and 6 assists.

Kendall built up a 27-18 half-time advantage as Ramsdell scored 10, Warters 7 and Rath 6 over the first two quarters.

Holley though battled back to within four, 36-32, at the three-quarter mark as Hillabush scored 6 in the third period. Ramsdell scored 9 in the period to keep the Eagles on top.

Holley pulled to within two down the stretch but Lewis erupted for 11 points to help keep Kendall in the lead and close out the win for the Eagles.

Lyndonville 61, Alexander 45
Lyndonville boosted its G-R record to 6-2 by downing visiting Alexander 61-45.

Eddie Schildt scored 16, Nick Hinkson 13, Eric Neace 12, Hunter Ottaviano 8, Corey Hydock 7, Zach Johnson 3 and Jacob Hoffee 2 for Lyndonville.

The Tigers jumped out to a 14-10 lead as Neace scored 6 and Schildt 4.

Lyndonville maintained a 28-23 lead at the half and then used a 20-12 third period scoring edge to extend its advantage to 48-35 at the three-quarter mark.

Hinkson scored 8 and Schildt 5 to spearhead the Tigers third period scoring surge.
