Kendall cagers win with late scoring surge

Putting together a big stretch run scoring burst Kendall rallied to down visiting Elba 60-52 in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game this evening.

Trailing 50-44 with just over four minutes to go Kendall put together a clutch 14-0 scoring surge to rally for the win.

Louis Conte had a three-point play and a basket, Austin Werth a three and a free throw and Hunter Richards three free throws to lead that rally for the Eagles which also included free throws by Austin Wakefield and William Kludt.

Conte finished with 21, Werth 20, Kludt 9 and Richards 7.  Conte also grabbed off 11 rebounds and Werth 9.

Oakfield-Alabama 57, Roy-Hart 49
Oakfield-Alabama downed Roy-Hart 57-49 this evening to open the Niagara-Orleans League vs. Genesee Region League boys basketball challenge at Genesee Community College.

Brenden Westcott scored 16, Gavin Armbrewster 13 and Kyler Harkness 12 to lead the for the Hornets which were up 43-36 after three quarters.

Dan Aquilina scored 15 to lead Roy-Hart as Rem Albee, Jackson Webber and Brayden Ricker each added 10.

N-O vs. G-R Girls Swimming
Albion had a pair of winners at the annual Niagara-Orleans League vs. Genesee Region League girls swim meet held at Gates-Chili.

The Albion quartet of Keira Sidari, Mia Olles, Autumn Flugel and Willow Gaines teamed up to win the 200 Freestyle Relay.

Gaines also took top honors in the 100 Breaststroke.
