Kendall cagers upend Elba

Breaking away from a 41-41 deadlock, Kendall outscored visiting Elba 16-12 in the decisive final period to claim a 57-53 Genesee Region League boys basketball victory this evening.

Nate Warters, John Rath and Derek Edick all hit three-point baskets in the final stanza to highlight the Eagles decisive surge.  Warters then capped off the uprising in style with a layup off a steal for his milestone 1,000th career point.

Warters finished with 20 Edick 18 and Rath 12 as the Eagles avenged an early season 62-51 loss at Elba.

Jon Boyce scored 20 and Colton Dillon 12 for Elba.

Elba led 18-16 after the opening period but Kendall rallied into a 33-28 advantage at the half. Edick led that surge with 11 points in the second period.

Attica 50, Holley 23
Building up a 30-14 half-time advantage,Attica went on to defeat host Holley 50-23 in another G-R contest as Nelson Dawson scored 12 and Devon Henderson and Tyler Meyer 10 each.
