A large contingent of eight veterans will lead Kendall into the upcoming boys basketball season.

That veteran group includes seniors Dale Steffen, Mason Kuhn, Noah Walzer, Noah Rath, Nick Spellan, Noah Tantala , Tyler Wright-Dunkle and junior Derek Edick.

“We’ve got a really nice nucleus,” said Coach Matt Zimmer. “This group has a lot of positive chemistry and they love the game. Ball movement and teamwork look to be our strengths and we will need a team effort defensively and rebounding. I think we have all the tools to be competitive.”

The Kendall lineup also includes senior Riley Hirschman, junior Eric Woodams and freshman Zach Barrett.

The Eagles graduation losses include the starting quartet of John Rath, Nate Warters, Mickey Gardner and Hunter Menze.

Kendall , which went 5-9 in the league and 8-13 overall last year, will open the season with a non league home game against Barker on December 3 and begin Genesee Region League competition at home against Elba on December 13.
