Kendall cagers post win over rival Holley
A huge 46-19 scoring edge over the middle two periods key Kendall to a 79-61 victory over visiting rival Holley this evening in a Genesee Region League game.
Breaking away from a 17-17 deadlock, Kendall moved on top to stay by outscoring Holley 24-11 in the second period as Brandon Miller led the way with 10 points.
Keeping the momentum, the Eagles then outpointed the Hawks 22-8 in the third period to race away to a commanding 63-36 advantage at the three-quarter mark. Five players each had at least 4 points to lead the Eagles balanced attack during that stretch.
Miller finished with 22 points, Nate Warters 21, James Longrod 15, Hunter Menze 8 and Mickey Gardner 7 for the Eagles. Miller also had 11 rebounds, Menze 9 and Gardner 7 as John Rath chipped in with 6 assists.
Andrew Moseman scored 22, Patrick Bower 11 and Derek McArthur 10 for Holley. McArthur also had 8 assists and Moseman 6.
Moseman scored 13 in the opening period while Warters countered with 10 to help keep the Eagles even.
Alexander 69, Lyndonville 51
Jumping out to a 26-18 first period lead, Alexander went on to defeat visiting Lyndonville 69-51 in another G-R contest.
Dustin Schmieder poured in a game high 33 points to spark Alexander which went on to hold leads of 41-28 at the half and 55-42 after three-quarters.
Jacob Hoffee scored 18 and Eric Neace 15 for Lyndonvlle as Corey Hydock added 9, Matt Hess 5 and Nathan Poler and Dylan Nicholson 2 each.
