Kendall cagers down rival Holley

Lady Eagles complete sweep with win over Lady Hawks

Jumping out to a 20-9 first quarter lead, Kendall went on to defeat host Holley 61-26 this evening in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game.

Mookie Nauden hit two threes and Evan Gaesser added a three and a layup off a turnover to spark Kendall in the opening quarter.

Nauden then hit another three while Will Condo chipped in with a layup and four free throws and Nick Manners a layup to help the Eagles extend their advantage to 31-18 at the half.

Nauden finished with a game high 19 points, Condo 13, Jacob Ramsdell 7 and Brandon Miller 7, Justin Barrett 6, Gaesser 5 and Colton Breslawski and Manners 2 each for the Eagles.

Nauden also had 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals and Condo 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Joey DeFelice scored 11, Josh Porter 8, Nick Passarell and Ian Penders 3 and Zach Vaccarelli 1 for Holley. Chris Balys also grabbed off 10 rebounds for the Hawks.

Kendall improves to 3-1 in the league and 6-1 overall while Holley slips to 0-3, 0-4.

Girls Basketball

Kendall 48, Holley 23
Kendall built up a 27-16 half-time advantage in route to scoring a 48-23 G-R win over visiting rival Holley.

Tania Arellano took game high scoring honors with 18 and Taylor Kingsbury tallied 15 to spearhead the Kendall attack. Both players finished with a double-double as Arellano also grabbed off 16 rebounds and Kingsbury 12.

Lizzie Rath added 4 points, 5 assists and 3 steals for the Lady Eagles.

Sam Barniak led Holley with 10 points.

Kendall improves to 3-2 while Holley slips to 0-6.
