Kendall cagers blitz rival Holley

Roaring out to a commanding 19-0 lead at the outset, Kendall romped to a 50 point, 76-26 victory over host rival Holley this evening in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game.

Kendall unleashed a balanced attack with five players hitting double figures as Isaiah Brown tallied 19, Garret Love 16, Devin Appleton 14, Alex Sutphen 12 and Will Condo 10.

Joey DeFelice and Zach Vaccarelli both scored 6 and John Bower and Corey Winter 5 for Holley.

Dominating inside on the boards and on the fast-break, Kendall took charge at the outset as Love had three layups and Brown three rebound buckets to lead the decisive 19-0 outburst which also included a three by Appleton and a jumper by Sutphen.

Love had a total of 10 and Brown 8 in the period which ended with the Eagles up by 22 at 25-3.

The offensive barrage continued in the second quarter as two threes and a layup by Appleton, a three by Sutphen and a layup off a steal by Mookie Nauden highlighted an 18-6 Kendall surge which boosted the lead to 34, 43-9 at the half.

The Kendall lead ballooned to 45, 65-20, at the three-quarter mark as Brown had three layups and a rebound bucket, Love three layups and Sutphen a three, a jumper and a layup in the third period.

Staying in the drivers seat in the G-R Division 1 title chase, Kendall improves to 10-4 in the league and 10-6 overall while Holley slips to 2-12, 3-14.

Roy-Hart 41, Akron 29
Improving to 7-5, Roy-Hart posted a 41-29 victory over host Akron in a Niagara-Orleans League game.

Andy Xapsos scored 13, Sam White 7 and Alex Stoddard 6 for Roy-Hart which led 20-12 at the half and 31-19 at the three-quarter mark.

AJ Laurcella had 10 and Noah Diebel 7 for Akron which slips to 1-11.

Notre Dame 80, Lyndonville 40
Evan Milleville scored 9, Pat Hinkson 7 and Ty Hrovat 6 for Lyndonville in a 80-40 home court G-R loss to Notre Dame.
