Tuning up for the Genesee Region League campaign, Kendall will open the season against Livonia in the first round of the Newark Boys Soccer Tournament on September 2. The tourney will conclude on September 4.

“That will be a real good test,” said Coach Rich Esposito whose Eagles will also visit Northstar on September 9 before opening the G-R season at Pembroke on September 14. The Eagles home opener will be against rival Holley on September 16.

Anchoring the Kendall lineup will be a good group of nine veterans including seniors Mike McCue, Jorden Ostrander, Jeff Pratt, Shane Stock and Ethan Woodams along with juniors Zach Barrett, Devin Edick, Tobey Passer and Riley Robinson. Barrett scored 8 goals and McCue 7 last season.

“We’ve got a good core group of guys coming back and we’re looking to some guys up from the JVs to help fill the holes,” said Esposito. “We’d like to win a G-R division title and as long as we can stay healthy we should be right there.”

The Eagles went 6-9 last season.
