Kendall booters rally for first win

Snapping a season opening five game losing streak, Kendall rallied with a big second half to defeat visiting Pembroke 3-1 this evening in a Genesee Region League boys soccer game.

Trailing 1-0 at the half, Kendall pulled even on Dale Steffen’s first goal off an assist from Nate Warters.

Warters then put the Eagles on top to stay with a goal on a direct kick. He later tacked on a big insurance goal with four minutes remaining to put a lock on the victory.

Hunter Menze made 8 saves in goal for the Eagles.

Wheatland-Chili 2, Holley 1
Outshot 22-4, Wheatland-Chili emerged with a narrow 2-1 win over host Holley in another G-R contest.

Karl Biedlingmaier scored the lone goal for Holley.

Roy-Hart 2, Sweet Home 1
Kara Choate and Cecilia Santo each scored a goal for Roy-Hart in the Lady Rams 2-1 non league victory at Sweet Home.
