Kendall booters nipped in non league contest

Beginning a busy regular season ending stretch of three games in four days, Kendall dropped a narrow 1-0 decision to host Northstar this afternoon in a non league boys soccer game.

Northstar netted the game winner in the first half as Kendall drops to 2-12 overall.

Kendall next visits rival Holley at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Eagles then visit Avon in a non league contest on Thursday to close out the regular season.

Akron 5, Wilson 0
Akron bested host Wilson for the second time in a week by the identical 5-0 margin in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer make-up game.

Natalie Karmazyn scored 2 goals and Danielle Robinson, Jenna Robnett and Kara Sequin each added 1 to lead the way for Akron. Robnett also had 3 assists.

Megan Sheehan earned the shutout in goal.

Akron improves to 7-2 and Wilson slips to 5-4 in N-O competition.
