Kendall booters win, Albion bows in tourney

The host Lady Eagles rallied for a pair of second half goals to nip Bishop Kearney 2-1 this afternoon in the consolation game of the Kendall Tournament which saw York edge Albion 3-1 in the championship contest.

TT ReQua scored both goals for Kendall which improves to 3-1.

In the championship game, York snapped a 1-1 tie on second half goals by Katie Mandarano and Jennifer Mandarano to claim the tourney title.

Albion had knotted the contest at 1-1 on a goal by Nicki Eldred with two minutes to go in the first half off an assist from Sarah Gregori.

Now at 2-4 overall, the Purple Eagles next host defending champion Wilson Monday in a Niagara-Orleans League contest.
