Kendall and Roy-Hart girls post narrow wins; Notre Dame trims Lyndonville
Improving to 5-0, Kendall posted a key Genesee Region League girls basketball win this evening by posting a narrow 30-28 win over host Attica which slips to 4-1.
Libby Snyder had 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and Alezya Brown 11 points and 13 rebounds to lead the way for Kendall which led 26-24 after three quarters after trailing 21-17 at the half.
Roy-Hart 39, Maryvale 36
Gaining win No. 1 on the young season, Roy-Hart nipped visiting Maryvale 39-36 in a non league girls basketball game this evening.
Makenna Elsenheimer and Kara Choate both made clutch free throws down the stretch to help the Lady Rams lock up the win.
Claire Halstead scored 8 and Choate 7 to lead the Lady Rams as Elsenheimer, Ava Owens, Juliana Buscarino, Kaitlyn Mettler and Julie Terwilliger each chipped in with 4.
Notre Dame 46, Lyndonville 39
Notre Dame trimmed Lyndonville 46-39 in a G-R contest as Maylee Green scored 15, Emma Sisson 12 and Avelin Tomidy 10.
Karlee Rounds scored 11, Lorelei Dillenbeck 9 and Ella Lewis 6 for Lyndonville.
Trailing 22-11 at the half, Lyndonville rallied back to within two, 30-28, after a big 17 point third period which included two threes by Dillenbeck and a pair of baskets by Lewis.
However, Notre Dame turned back the challenging putting together a 16-11 fourth period scoring edge to claim the win. Sisson scored 6, Tomidy 4 and Green hit a three during that key stretch.
