Kendall and Holley win tourney openers
Host Kendall and Holley both scored victories this evening in the opening round of the Lady Eagles Tournament.
Kendall downed Medina 34-24 and Holley bested Barker 29-8.
Kendall and Holley will now meet in the championship game at 4 p.m. Saturday while Medina and Barker will play in the consolation contest at 2 p.m.
Brooke Rodas scored 10, Alea Barrett 9 and Danielle Offhaus 6 to lead the way for Kendall as Taigan Guerrero, Mary Jones and Lauren Pilon each chipped in with 3. Rodas also had 13 rebounds and Offhaus 10.
Medina was led by Rylee VanNostrand who had a game high 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
Alivia Wolf scored 8, Zoey Wolf 7 and Samantha Bates 6 to pace Holley. Jailyn Bishop and Emma Brady each grabbed off 8 rebounds and Bates had 10 steals.
