Kendall and Holley score G-R wins
Kendall nipped host Wheatland-Chili 2-1 and Holley trimmed visiting Attica 1-0 this evening in Genesee Region League boys soccer competition.
Kendall grabbed a 1-0 first half lead on a goal by Jake Esposito on a header off an assist from Tory Raufeisen.
W-C tied the game early in the second half but midway through the stanza Derek Edick netted the game winning goal for Kendall of an assist from Jeffrey Pratt.
Jordan Ostrander earned the win in goal for the Eagles making 8 saves.
Kendall, which is now 1-1 next hosts Byron-Bergen at 5 p.m. Friday.
Holley improved to 2-0 as Kayden Servais scored the game’s lone goal at the 23rd minute mark of the second half off an assist from KJ Biedlingmaier.
Brock Ostrom registered the shutout in goal making 5 saves.
