Kendall ‘9’ scores narrow win at Attica
Jumping out to an early 4-0 lead, Kendall went on to edge host Attica 6-5 in a Genesee Region League baseball game this afternoon.
Zach Barrett had 4 hits and drove in 3 runs for Kendall as Louis Conte chipped in with 3 hits and Reuben Marquess 2.
An RBI double by Barrett helped Kendall build up the 4-0 lead. A sacrifice fly by James Fox plated the Eagles fifth run and an RBI single by Barrett drove in what proved to be the game winner in the sixth inning.
Barrett also came on in relief with one on in the seventh inning and got the final three outs to lock up the win.
Newfane 7, Wilson 1
Newfane erupted for seven runs in the seventh inning to down rival Wilson 7-1 in a Niagara-Orleans League game.
A double by Kaiden Rose ignited the Panthers uprising which also featured a bases clearing double by Brady Harrington and a two-run homer by Tyler Baes.
Newfane is now 4-7 and Wilson 2-9.
