Kendall ‘9’ romps; Alexander tops Lyndonville

Improving to 8-1, Kendall downed visiting Oakfield-Alabama 11-1 in a Genesee Region League baseball game this afternoon.

Kendall took control by scoring 5 runs in the third inning on RBI singles by Mikey Colucci and Vinnie D’Agostino and three errors.

The Eagles then locked up the victory by scoring 6 runs in the fourth frame as Jonny Conte singled in two runs and Colucci doubled in one.

Conti, Colucci, D’Agostino and Nic Cole each had a pair of hits.

Gavin Braun earned the win on the mound allowing 5 hits and striking out 5.

Alexander 9, Lyndonville 7
Building up an 8-1 lead after a big 7 run fourth inning, Alexander went on to edge host Lyndonville 9-7 in a G-R contest.

RBI singles by Alex Bartholomew and Jacob Bailey capped off the big inning from the Trojans.

Lyndonville rallied for 3 runs in both the fifth and sixth innings but could not pull even. Two errors and a fielders choice play off the bat of  Quincy McClinsey accounted for the Tigers runs in the fifth which also includes singles by Colton Smith and Jacob Pitcher. A two-run error and an RBI single by Cole Moyle plated the tallies in the sixth.

Pitcher finished with 3 hits and Moyle and Austin Fonda 2 each  for the Tigers.

Defensively the Tigers turned two double plays the first from McClinsey at third to Atticus Mank at first in the third inning and the second from Pitcher at pitcher to McClinsey in the sixth.
