Kendall ‘9’ posts win over Barker
A pair of two run innings keyed Kendall to a 5-2 win over visiting Barker in a non league game this afternoon.
Kendall took an early 3-0 lead by scoring once in the first and then twice in the second inning on a triple by Louis Conte and a single by Nick Cole.
Louis Conte then tacked on a two-run single in the fourth frame which plated Jonathan Conte and Zach Barrett who had both reached on singles. Barrett also had two hits on the day.
James Fox picked up the win on the mound for the Eagles allowing 3 hits and striking out 11 over five innings. He also triggered a key double play to get the Eagles out of a jam in the fourth inning when Barker scored its two runs.
Aidan Voss had 2 hits for Barker.
Kendall next visits Attica on Thursday in the Genesee Region League opener.
