Kendall ‘9’ blanks Barker in season opener
A quartet of pitchers combined to hurl a one hitter as Kendall blanked host Barker 12-0 in a season opening non league baseball game this afternoon.
CJ D’Agostino, Vinnie D’Agostino, Nic Cole and Gavin Braun combined for the one hitter with a total of 9 strikeouts.
Jonny Conte had 3 hits and Braun 2 to lead the Eagles at the plate.
Kendall scored three quick runs in the first inning on an RBI single by Vinnie D’Agostino and a pair of ground outs.
An RBI single by Conte and two errors then keyed a four run second inning.
Conte also had an RBI single during a two run third inning and Braun an RBI triple to highlight a three run fourth.
Kendall is scheduled to open the Genesee Region League campaign at home against Pembroke on Tuesday.
Three games postponed
The Notre Dame at Lyndonville baseball game and the Kendall at Medina and the Pembroke at Albion softball games were all postponed due to the weather.
