Jr. Wilson 1 scores softball win
Putting runs on the board in every inning but one, Jr Wilson 1 went on to beat Just Us 20-12 Monday night in the Medina Women’s A Division softball play.
Sami Stockwell lead the way, going 4-5 with 4 RBIs including a two run double in the 7th.
Sara Flansburg also went 4-5 with two RBIs including a double in the 5th.
Jodi Zacher had 3 hits on the night, while Jessica Rosenbeck, Michelle Crandall, Kaitlyn Miller and Sharon Korzelius each chipped in with two hits.
For Just Us, Casey Flynn went 2-4 with a double, as well as Ashley Stawicki going 2-4 with a 3 RBI double.
Jr Wilson 1 is now 2-0 on the season.
Froman Inc. 20, Banes 19
Froman rallied for 7 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to nip Banes Plumbing/Banes Machine Shop 20-19 in another ‘A’ Division game.
Alisha Foss had 4 hits, including a double, for Banes as Sue Seefeldt and Patti Page both had 3. Seefeldt’s hits included a double.
Page, Jamie Chatt, Jessica Carpenter, Kristin Guild and Foss all had hits in both the second and third innings when Banes scored 7 and 6 runs respectively.
