Johnson hurls Tiffin University to win

Lyndonville High graduate Zach Johnson earned his first win of the season on the mound for Tiffin University on Sunday.
Johnson, who is a senior, pitched four and two-thirds innings giving up no hits and striking out 8 to lead Tiffin to a 7-4 win over Grenville State.
The appearance on the mound was the third of the season for Johnson who now has registered 17 strikeouts in 10 innings of work.
Last year Johnson posted a 2-2 record on the mound and also earned a save for Tiffin as he registered 25 strikeouts in 22 and one-third innings of work.
Johnson had previous pitched for Niagara County Community College (now SUNY Niagara).
