It’s a good time for a drive in Upstate NY with leaves nearing peak color

Photos by Tom Rivers: This photo shows the Upper Falls at Letchworth State Park last Saturday. The park was busy last weekend with many people wanted to see the foliage.

The map from the state shows Orleans is moving from “just changing” to the midpoint. Other parts of the state, including the Adirondacks and Catskills, are at peak color.

“Brilliant and colorful fall foliage will continue its progression across New York State this weekend, with peak and near-peak conditions expected throughout Upstate New York, according to volunteer spotters for Empire State Development’s I LOVE NY program,” according to the state report.

This hot air balloon gave an awesome view of the Letchworth State Park last weekend.
