It was the season of the Tiger in the N-O

This spring in the Niagara-Orleans League it was certainly the season of the Tiger – the Akron Tigers.
In all, Akron captured top N-O honors in four of the league’s five spring varsity sports.
Heading that list of champions was the Tigers baseball team which went 11-1 to capture the school’s first N-O diamond title since 1975. It was an extra special title for Coach Greg Bell who was a member of that Tigers 1975 championship squad.
The Akron tennis team went 12-0 to claim the N-O crown for the fifth straight year. The Tigers have gone 59-1 during that stretch.
The Lady Tigers softball team claimed the N-O title for the second time in three years by posting an 11-1 record.
Going undefeated at 6-0, the Lady Tigers track squad captured the league crown for the first time since 2017.
