Irish score two wins over Eagles

Notre Dame bested Kendall in Genesee Region League baseball and tennis action Thursday.

The Irish topped the Eagles 13-4 in baseball and 3-2 in tennis.

On the diamond, Notre Dame built up an early 10-2 advantage by scoring four quick runs in the first inning, one in the second and then five moe with two out in the third.

Kendall tried to rally but the Eagles could not capitalize on bases loaded opportunities in the third and fourth innings.

Alex Sutphen scored twice and had an RBI sacrifice fly and Mookie Nauden a bunt single for Kendall, which is now 2-1 in the league and 2-3 overall.

On the tennis court, Notre Dame got a three set win at third singles by Dennis Bleier over Anthony Washington to nip Kendall.

Kendall, which slips to 2-3, got wins from Riley Iqbal at second singles and by the second doubles team of Rachel Ackles and Tessa Vick.
