BATAVIA – Jumping out to a 20-0 first quarter lead, Notre Dame went on to defeat Holley 52-0 this afternoon in the Genesee Region League opener.

Quarterback Tim McCulley ran 10 yards for one touchdown and hooked up with Josh Johnson on a 60 yard pass completion for another to highlight Notre Dame’s big first quarter which also included a 5 yard TD run by Andrew Mullen.

Keeping the hot hand, McCulley then completed three more touchdown passes in the second quarter to Johnson for 23 yards, to Mullen for 50 and to Luca Zambito for 35 ballooning the Irish lead to 39-0 at the half.

Holley, whose only two first downs in the first half came in the final two minutes, failed to cross midfield during that stretch.
