Irish hand Tigers first loss

Host Notre Dame rallied for three runs with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning to nip Lyndonville 7-6 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League baseball game snapping the Tigers season long 14 game winning streak.

A hit batter and two singles loaded the bases for Notre Dame in the last of the seventh and John Reynolds followed up with a walk off game winning three run double.

Lyndonville had built up a 6-3 lead after scoring five runs in the third inning and once in the fourth.

Chris Scroger had a two-run double in the third which also included RBI singles by Michael Wells and Evan Milleville.

Scroger also doubled in the Tigers fourth inning tally following a triple by AJ Buckland.

Buckland, Scroger and Wells each finished with two hits.

Lyndonville is now 10-1 in the league and Notre Dame 9-3.
