Irish down Lady Tigers in G-R opener

Jumping out to leads of 24-15 after one quarter and 39-18 at the half, Notre Dame went on to defeat visiting Lyndonville 61-28 this evening in the Genesee Region League girls basketball opener for both teams.

Amelia McCulley scored 29, including 16 in the opening quarter, Avelin Tomidy 12 and Emma Sisson 11 for Notre Dame.

Addison Dillenbeck scored 13, including 9 in the first quarter, Lorelei Dillenbeck 7, Haley Shaffer 6 and Shelby Boring 2 for Lyndonville. Ashlee Stephens grabbed off 12 rebounds and Lorelei Dillenbeck 10 for the Lady Tigers.

Pembroke 60, Holley 34
Building up a 35-17 halftime advantage, Pembroke went on to down visiting Holey 60-34 in another G-R opener.

Olivia Breedon scored 23 and Karli Houseknecht 16 for Pembroke. Breedon also had 8 rebounds, Carly Cerasani 7 and Houseknect 6. Houseknect also had 8 steals.

Alivia Wolf tallied 8, Layne Walker 7 and Jailyn Bishop 5. Bishop also had 6 rebounds.

Maryvale 31, Roy-Hart 21
Maryvale bested visiting Roy-Hart 23-21 in a non league contest.

The Fleyrs held leads of 9-7 after the first quarter, 22-13 at the half and 25-19 at the three-quarter mark.
