A fourth quarter scoring drought proved costly as Medina dropped a 12-9 decision to West Seneca West this afternoon in a regular season ending non league lacrosse game at Vets Park.

Trailing 6-5 at the half, Medina battled back into an 8-8 tie at the three-quarter mark after goals by Brendan Luthart, Tyler Valley and Jake Cotter.

However, the visiting Indians scored the first four goals of the decisive final quarter to claim the win as the Mustangs failed to tally in the period until the final 31 seconds.

Jesse Broad led the Indians attack with 5 goals.

Cotter finished with a total of 3 goals for the Mustangs as Mason Lewis and Luthart both had 2 and Valley and Greg Husung 1 each.

Medina finishes the regular season at 7-9.
