Increased patrols will be out today for impaired driving
ALBION – Orleans County will be part of a state-wide STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign today from 3 p.m. until 3 a.m. Friday, Sheriff Chris Bourke said.
“The ‘4/20’ marijuana culture celebration is a deadly period for impaired driving,” he said. “In a combined effort to bring awareness to the dangers of impaired driving, prevent injuries and save lives law enforcement officers across New York State and STOP-DWI programs will be participating in special engagement efforts.”
The sheriff urges people to have a plan to get home safe if they are impaired.
