In governor primaries, Hochul and Zeldin well ahead in Orleans

In the primaries for governor today and with nine days of early voting, Kathy Hochul has a big lead among local Democrats and Lee Zeldin topped a Republican field of four candidates in Orleans County.

The results include:

• Governor (Democrat) – Kathy Hochul, 405; Thomas Suozzi, 74; and Jumaane Williams, 40.

• Governor (Republican) – Lee Zeldin, 924; Andrew Giuliani, 465; Rob Astorino, 392; and Harry Wilson, 364.

• Lieutenant Governor (Democrat) – Antonio Delgado, 280; Ana Maria Archila, 92; and Diana Reyna, 86.

• Murray Republican Committee, District 2 (elect 2) –  Michael Christopher, 32; Gerald Rightmyer, 25; Daniel Seeler, 10; and Anthony Peone, 7.

• Murray Republican Committee, District 3 (elect 2) – Louise Passarell, 44; Kathleen Case, 37; Kerri Neale, 28.

• Murray Republican Committee, District 6 (elect 2) – Kellie Gregoire, 42; Adam Moore, 35; and David Knapp, 26.

• Yates Republican Committee, District 1 (elect 2) – Roger Wolfe, 79; Russell Martino, 74; and Steven Colon, 22.
