Host Rams win Dick Lang wrestling tourney
The host Rams captured championship honors at Roy-Hart’s inaugural Dick Lang Memorial Wrestling Tournament today.
Roy-Hart went 6-0 on the day downing Lackawanna, CSAT, Lafayette, Tonawanda, Alden and Canisius.
Joey Jopp went 6-0 and RJ Townsend 5-0 on the day for the Rams as Luke Fay and Lucas Kimberly were both 5-1 and Ronan Klug 4-1.
The tournament honors the memory of the late Roy-Hart wrestling Coach Dick Lang.
Lackawanna finished 5-1, CSAT 4-2, Lafayette 3-3, Tonawanda 2-4, Alden 1-5 and Canisius 0-6.
Byron-Bergen Tournament
Medina’s Reece Senske (116) placed second and Luke Duffina (131) and Brody Fry (190) third at the Byron-Bergen Tournament today.
Albion’s Stryker Sanders (101) placed second.
Holley-Kendall had Isaac Barrett (108) and Hunter Jewell-Smith (285) both place fourth.
