Host Hawks go 3-2 in team wrestling tourney

The host Hawks posted a 3-2 record in the annual Holley-Kendall Team Wrestling Tournament today.

Holley-Kendall defeated Campbell-Savona-Bradford 60-15, North Rose-Wolcott 63-18 and Lyndonville 63-24 but lost to Canisius 46-22 and Eastridge 41-39.

Lyndonville went 1-4 on the day as the Tigers defeated Campbell-Savona-Bradford.

James Fox, Bruce Rasmusson, Tristyn Moyer and Erik Balys all went 5-0 on the day and Cade Aina 4-1 for Holley-Kendall and all were named to the All-Tournament team.

Lyndonville’s duo of Mario Fidanza, who went 5-0, and Chase Stinson, who went 3-0, were all both named to the All-Tournament team.

Dave Farruggia and Dawson Custer also both went 4-1 for the Hawks as Zander Carpenter and Eli Stanton were both 3-2.

Medina competes at B-B Tourney
Medina had a trio of place finishers in the varsity competition at the Byron-Bergen Tournament today as Rashawn Bloom placed first, Colby Petrie second and Riley Black third.

In the JV competition, Davon Shine placed first, Donovan Alexander and Miles Hartway second and Noah Skinner third.
