Hornets post victory over Raiders

Pulling away in the third quarter, Oakfield-Alabama went on to defeat visiting Barker 77-61 this evening in a non league boys basketball lame.

Breaking away from a 16-16 first quarter deadlock, the Hornets took a 39-33 lead at the half and then broke the contest wide open with a 23-10 third period scoring edge to move out to a commanding 62-43 advantage.

Reice Woodward scored 22, Ryan Douglas 21 and Tyler Ohlson 12 to lead the way for the Hornets. Douglas tallied 9 to spark the decisive third period uprising.

Nate Luckman and Eddie Wasnock each scored 21 for Barker. Wasnock tallied 9 in the first period and 7 in the second.

Oakfield-Alabama also downed Barker in the girls varsity game 48-11.
