Hornets outlast Eagles in overtime
In a high scoring Genesee Region League contest, Oakfield-Alabama outlasted visiting Kendall 85-81 in overtime this evening.
Joey Burdick scored 27, Aidan Johnston 19 and Nick Wissinger 17 to set the pace for the Hornets which outscored the Eagles 16-12 in the overtime period.
The contest was deadlocked at 69-69 at the end of regulation time.
Nate Warters took game high scoring honors for Kendall with 30 as John Rath added 13, Hunter Menze 12 and Derek Edick 11. Edick also had 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals.
Kendall used a big 29 point second period to rally into a 41-35 half-time advantage. Warters scored 12, Menze 8 and Rath 6 in the second period for the Eagles.
The Hornets rallied back with a 16-7 third period scoring edge to take a 51-48 lead at the three-quarter mark.
Elba 68, Holley 40
Colton Dillon scored 36 and Jon Boyce 23 to lead Elba to a 68-40 G-R win over visiting Holley.
Kohl Morgan had 9 points and 14 rebounds for Holley.
