Home of the Mustangs -A bright new look
Photos by Mike Wertman – The large bright red Mustangs logo was put on the new artificial turf surface at Medina’s Veterans Memorial Park this morning as this year’s Phase 1 of the two year renovation project nears completion. The final part of the installation will be infilling the artificial turf surface with a mixture of sand and rubber which also began today. Phase 2 work next year will see the construction of a new permanent grandstand on the south side of the field. The Mustangs are slated to host Newfane on September 15 in the football home opener.
The lines are in and some infilling work is underway at the softball end of the field.
Workers finish the fencing on the baseball end of the field as the “Mustangs” nickname has already been put in the end zone.
